My church is extremely cheap, and it’s really irritating. They get so much of our money from donations, and they rarely use it to improve our church. The building is old and small. The carpet is torn. Worst of all, I have to use this non-weighted digital piano during praises. It’s extremely hard to play the piano well when the keys are not weighted.
When you are praising God, a lot of that emotions comes out from within. The music especially helps capture the moment. The beautiful sound of the piano rings throughout the room. The soothing sound of the guitar helps amplify the moment. One wrong note can ruin everything.
The problem with this digital piano is that it’s limited in the number of notes that it actually has. The non-weighted action immediately signifies that it does not have more than 1 note per key. This is not good. There is no form of emotion or expression with digital pianos like that.
The church needs to stop being so cheap. We come here to worship God, and we should give him our very best. This broken down digital piano is not good enough.
